So I have this job and because I love cooking it involves me cooking breakfast at my Fathers Guest House 5 times a week for up to 8 people a day at a time. I normally wake up at 6:00 or 6:30 AM because I have to be at work to do prep stuff before 7:00 AM, althought nobody comes before 7:30 anyway. Mostly guests come from 8 AM even though the breakfast room is closed from 8:30 AM so I land up just sitting around waiting. This can be annoying. Yesterday was particually annoying because I only got 3 hrs sleep due to it being New Years Eve the night before, and I was still at work at the normal time to do breakfast for only 3 people. So 8AM no guests. 8:30AM no guests. 9AM no guests. SO I call my mananger. I'm sent to go knock on 2 doors and "invite" the people to breakfast at 9AM even though the breakfast room is technically closed and I'm half asleep. The 2 guests ask for room service (which we don't do). So they say they aren't coming then. SO I was okay with that because I wasn't amped to serve selfish people anyway even though I cooked for them. Then the 1 called and said the other was coming. She arrived and gave me attitude so I tuned her because she told me it wasn't her fault she partied until 4 am and only got... um 4 hrs sleep(which is almost double what I got). While I sat at my pc in the corner of the kitchen I saw her put half her food in a plastic container on her lap and put it in her hand bag. She was either keeping it for later or taking it for her Mother who was still in bed. I guess she though it would be kinda like room service but kinda not. How embarrassing?! When she left, she apollogised for being rude and said they would arrive at 8 AM today. And to my suprise they did. The other guy came to breakfast and acted as if he wasn't 2 hrs late. I secretly swore I would quit if I had to go through that again with those people. Today the guests wanted poached eggs but I can't do those kind. Flip! It's december/january, it's supposed to feel like holiday but this is far from feeling like that. I have no idea how to make it feel like holiday or how to relax before the year speeds up again. I'm exhaused. I work monday to friday and sundays I go to church and on saturdays I only get to catch up on sleep if I don't have chores and things to do. Grrr... I start college in 5 weeks, and I'm packing up my house because I'm emigrating in just 4 weeks. I thik I need to quit. I haven't even had time to do the paintings I have in my heart. Having the money to buy the canvas and paint doesn't help if I don't have the time to actually use it.
